 You are invited to attend, free of charge, the next meeting of the above group which is scheduled for Tuesday 3^rd June. The event is hosted by Standard Life and will be held in their offices in Edinburgh. The world wide launch of ITIL V3 took place in London on June 5th 2007.

We have Service Management "black belts" coming along to this event to share and discuss their experiences with you. This event should not be missed as it is very seldom we get so many Service Management authorities in one room ... and this includes you.

In order to continue the success of the group it is now time to start succession planning.

If you are interested in playing a more active role in the itSMF UK by taking up the role of Scottish Regional Chair please contact the itSMF UK office by email (zoe.dixon@itsmf.co.uk) for further details and an application form.

Chairman tasks will include:

• Organising four regional meetings a year, with assistance from the itSMF UK Office, including; content, speakers, dates and venues.
• Providing topic and theme content for meeting invites.
• Liaison with itSMF UK about agenda, venue and attendees.
• Chairing the meetings.
• Follow-up actions from meetings.
• Attending Regional Chairs meetings (twice per year).

We hope to have appointed the new Regional Chair by the next regional meeting on Tuesday 3^rd June, therefore the deadline for submissions is Friday 9^th May. The new Chair will be notified by Tuesday 27^th May and should be ready to attend the next regional meeting on Tuesday 3^rd June. Please make time in your busy schedules to come along and meet with fellow professionals in our region.
